Marvel finally released the first trailer for the Captain Marvel movie. You can see it on the offical Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel here. By the way, I'm pretty sure that old lady that Carol punches in the trailer is a skrull in disguise.

Amazon.com leaked a photo of a new Marvel Legends Brie Larson Captain Marvel action figure that's releasing in early 2019. The picture states that the figure will come with two sets of hands and two heads. I assume the extra head will be a masked head, which hasn't been shown in any pictures from the movie so far. I hope it also comes with at least one blast effect as well, but that may be wishful thinking. There hasn't been an official trailer released for the movie as of yet.

I went to Target and my local comic book store, Bedrock City Comics, and I ended up buying a few Carol related items. I bought a new Marvel Lego set called Avenjet Space Mission from Target. This set includes the first Carol Lego figure that I've ever seen (I'm pretty sure it's the first ever). From my comic book store, I bought a Marvel Minimates 2-Pack featuring Carol and the new female Thor. I also got Utimates #3 and A-Force #1, both of which feature Carol. Last, but not least, I bought a copy of Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (Carol's first appearance) in 0.5 condition for $10. Although that's about as bad of condition as you can get, I've never seen this comic in particularly good condition, and the one's I've seen in okay condition cost well in the hundreds. All in all, it was a very Carol themed day today. Funny enough, I had the intention of buying some Batman v. Superman toys, but nothing looked particularly good.

Marvel Studios has made the decision to push the Captain Marvel movie back to March 8, 2019. It was originally set to release on July 6, 2018, but now the Ant-Man sequel will début on that date instead. No word yet on who will play Carol in the movie. I'm honestly hoping it will be Yvonne Strahovski because she was awesome in Chuck. Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman are set as the writers for the movie. Perlman helped write the screenplay for Guardians of the Galaxy, which was one of my favorite movies of all time, so I think the Captain Marvel movie will end up being pretty awesome.

Carol recently received her updated Captain Marvel uniform in the Marvel Heroes PC game. It's part of an update that seems to revolve around Marvel's "All-New, All-Different" marketing agenda. The actual outfit seems okay, but her hair is probably the worst thing I have ever seen on someone's head in my entire life. Honestly, if I could burn it, I would. It's so horribly bad looking. I looked at the costume for about 30 seconds, and then I put back on Carol's classic Ms. Marvel costume, which I've had Carol sport for a while now. I'm guessing Carol knocked the stylist that gave her the haircut into the moon. I know I would have. I'm also guessing that Carol won't be sporting this haircut in the comic books for very long. Her comic book sales are likely to plummet if she keeps it too long. By the way, if you've already been using Carol in Marvel Heroes and you want to obtain her new Captain Marvel uniform, you'll need to use the code "DANVERS" on the offical Marvel Heroes site, which is located at marvelheroes.com. If you haven't purchased Carol yet, then the new Captain Marvel uniform will be her default outfit, and you'll have to purchase one of her better looking outfits for money in-game.

(Side note: Carol's voice in the game doesn't match her new Captain Marvel outfit at all. It just sounds way too feminine for how butch her new outfit looks.)

I recently purchased a few HeroClix Age of Ultron organized play booster packs on eBay, and to my surprise, a Ms. Marvel HeroClix was inside on of them featuring Carol in her original costume. Marvelous!

On Kris Anka's Tumblr, he posted a terrific drawing of Carol in her new outfit. The subtle changes he made to her hair make it look worlds better than how he's been drawing her hair in all of the art released so far to promote Carol's new comic book. Kristafer Anaka, by the way, is going to be the offical artist for the next volume of Captain Marvel. This definitely has me changing my mind about Carol's new look. I've decided to give a review on the Android and iOS fighting game Marvel Contest of Champions now that I've finally obtained Ms. Marvel as a playable character (after several months of trying).

Marvel Contest of Champions is currently free to download on most Android and iOS devices. However, it does offer in-game purchases that cost real money. The game is rated T for Teen.

Carol will receive a new default outfit in the Marvel Heroes PC game that's based on her new uniform from her upcoming comic book series. Honestly, I'm just not digging the changes. Her red sash/scarf looks odd hanging off of that new goofy looking belt that she's sporting now. Also, I personally think that her new haircut looks terrible. Overall, I feel like none of the changes made to her Captain Marvel uniform were an improvement. Oh well, Marvel's been making all kinds of terrible changes as of late. Hopefully its just a phase that they'll grow out of soon. No word yet on when this costume will be available, but supposedly, it will become Carol's new default costume in the game.

The next volume of Captain Marvel will not be written by Kelly Sue DeConnick, whose written for Carol since 2012. Instead, Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas from the TV series Marvel's Agent Carter will be taking over the reigns for Carol's next comic book series. Along with the new writers, Marvel's also provided Carol with an updated uniform.

The next volume of Captain Marvel is set to début in December of 2015.
